British former boxing champion and TV personality Nicola Adams has joined forces with plant-based food company Strong Roots and food bank platform Bankuet, launching a campaign to 'make veg poverty history'.

Through the partnership, Strong Roots is delivering freezers and frozen vegetarian products to food banks across the UK, and also opening the UK’s first frozen vegetarian food bank in Hackney. Adams took to social media to share the news, posting 'I’m really excited to announce my Ambassadorship for Make Veg Poverty History with @strongrootsuk. We launched a Frozen Veggie Food Bank in Hackney today to kick off our mission to get more veg to people who have to rely on food banks'.
